All Elite Wrestling Partners With The Last Match for Immersive West End Musical-Theatre Show
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) announced on June 15 that it will partner with the stage production The Last Match: A Pro‑Wrestling Rock Experience for a fall 2026 debut in London’s West End. The partnership makes AEW the presenting sponsor of the show, which will be staged in a 52,000‑square‑foot venue near Tottenham Court Road.
The production is described as a hybrid of a rock‑musical and professional‑wrestling spectacle. According to the media release, the show follows the narrative of a wrestler’s final pay‑per‑view event. It combines an original 1980s‑inspired rock score, theatrical storytelling, larger‑than‑life characters and world‑class wrestling matches. The release emphasizes themes of retirement, legacy, love, family and the courage to leave a career behind.
The show will feature AEW talent during select performances. Tony Khan, president and chief executive officer of AEW, said the partnership would allow the promotion’s stars to appear in the live experience. The production has already included former WWE NXT wrestler Bull James and Chavo Guerrero Jr. in past New Jersey runs, and the 2022 New Jersey premiere featured Matt Cardona, Mickie James and Thunder Rosa.
Each performance will begin with an interactive pre‑show that invites audiences to explore wrestling‑themed installations and exhibits before the main event. The immersive format is designed for audiences of all ages, according to the release.
The partnership marks a new venture for AEW, which was founded in 2019 by Khan and wrestlers Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes and the Jackson brothers. AEW’s roster appears on its weekly television shows Dynamite and Collision and on streaming and pay‑per‑view programming. The promotion has a global reach, with broadcasts in 220 territories and 50 languages.
The Last Match began touring in New Jersey in 2022. The production’s creators, including director and co‑producer Jeremiah James, have described it as a “West End rock musical that happens to take place in the world of professional wrestling.” The show has won 11 BroadwayWorld Awards and has been praised for blending live rock music, wrestling and theatrical storytelling.
The West End opening will take place in the fall, shortly after AEW’s All In event at Wembley Stadium. The venue’s 52,000‑square‑foot space will be transformed into a “wrestling and rock‑and‑roll wonderland,” according to the release.
Industry observers note that the collaboration expands AEW’s brand beyond televised wrestling into live theatrical entertainment. By aligning with a production that blends music, drama and sport, AEW is positioning itself to reach new audiences while offering its existing fan base a novel experience.
The partnership also highlights the growing trend of wrestling promotions exploring cross‑media ventures. Similar moves have been seen in the past, such as WWE’s involvement in film and television projects. AEW’s involvement in a West End musical‑theatre show represents a significant step into the broader entertainment sector.
The production’s official website lists the upcoming London dates and ticket information. Ticket sales will begin in early July, with the first show scheduled for September 2026.
As the West End opening approaches, AEW and The Last Match are preparing to deliver a unique blend of athletic performance and theatrical spectacle that will test the limits of both industries.
The current status is that the partnership is confirmed, the venue is secured, and the production team is finalizing the lineup of AEW performers for the London run. Tickets will become available in July, and the show is slated to open in September 2026.
