The queen has summoned and celebrities from across the globe have heeded her call. Adele is performing a one-off concert at the London Palladium, in which she will be performing her greatest hits. She will be joined by Sir Elton John, Alan Carr and Little Mix for the UK comeback ITV performance. The event will also be streamed on ITV Hub.
We saw the parade of stars arriving ahead of the concert.

The event is being filmed tonight, but will not air until November 21, 2021, two days after her album is released. Obviously, that album will be a platinum seller on Day 1.

On November 14, 2021 she will hold another one-off on CBS and also interviewed by Oprah Winfrey. But apparently some Americans couldn’t wait to see her and they crossed the pond for tonight’s event.
Ben Winston from Fulwell 73 Productions, the company producing both the UK and US specials, wrote on Instagram saying: “I grew up loving An Audience With specials on ITV … so to be coming back to London to produce this, with a one of a kind artist the incredible Adele, is literally a dream come true.”
Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning at ITV, said: “As one of the world’s most in-demand stars, we are beyond thrilled to bring this one-off night to ITV. Adele is a remarkable artist and this will be a very special event.”
Tonight’s is a private concert. The audience for the show has been handpicked by Adele herself. They include her friends and family, but also people she simply admires, whether or not she knows them. She will kick off a concert tour for the rest of us hoi polloi starting in 2022. They will be her first live concerts in 5 years.
Adele’s long-awaited album 30 will be released on November 19.

Sometimes thought of as reclusive, Adele has opened up in the last few weeks ahead of her album. She gave two wide ranging interviews to Vogue UK and Vogue USA, respectively, in which she discussed her break up, her weight loss and her son. She has done nothing to hide her growing relationship with sports agent Rich Paul, attending dinners, parties and basketball games with him. She likes her privacy, but has decided not to let her impede her fun.

At only 30, Adele seems too young to have achieved the iconic status she now enjoys. Of course, others have done it before her, think Madonna. But Adele’s classic love songs attract fans of a diverse age range, whereas at her peak, Madonna appealed mostly to the younger generation.

We don’t know how much these celebrities will talk about the concert experience afterwards. They may be pledged to secrecy about the setlist. But we’re sure their praise for Adele will be unstinting.
