After carrying his son to the car, Kit Harington and Rose Leslie part for the day, exchanging a warm hug and kiss. Why wasn’t Jon Snow’s life ever this Rockwellian?
Leslie is currently working on an HBO series’ adaption of my favorite contemporary novel ever, The Time Traveler’s Wife. Hopefully, it will be a vast improvement over the movie starring Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams., which skewered some of the most important parts of Audrey Niffenegger’s story, for instance the conception of Claire and Henry’s daughter, Alba. I’m not sure why they thought it would be fitting to have Claire trick her husband in the movie, as if that would not mar the beauty of their love at all. Oh, well.
At any rate, I am anxious to see what Leslie and co-star Theo James bring to the series script. I first saw James in the short-lived series Bedlam and quite enjoyed him. He’s actually more physically appealing than I imagined the character Henry, who was most compelling because of his intellect and somber sense of fate.
David Nutter, Games of Thrones director, is also directing Time Traveler’s Wife, which, along with Steven Moffatt’s writing, bodes well, indeed.
Like Harington and Leslie, Theo James also recently had a baby. Maybe the two children can have play dates.
Meanwhile, Harington has finished filming on The Eternals, about a race of immortal beings who lived on earth and shaped its history and civilizations, which is pretty much the plot of Ancient Aliens, but without Giorgio Tsoukalos or his wild hair.
