Remember when the Hollywood Press dubbed a passel of young Hollywood actors the Pussy Posse? No? Well, first there was the Rat Pack (Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop). They’re all dead now.

Then, there was the Brat Pack (Rob Low, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estevez, Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, Andrew McCarthy and Demi Moore) and they’re all grandparents now.

Next, came the Pussy Posse, which included Lukas Haas, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Harmony Korine, David Blaine, Jay Ferguson, Josh Miller, Ethan Suplee, Kevin Connolly, Scott Bloom, Justin Herwick, and Sara Gilbert. New York magazine called Sara the Shirley MacLlaine of the Pussy Posse.

Well, two of the posse members Sara Gilbert and Tobey MaGuire are back together — as chaperones on a playdate. They took their kids to Nobu for dinner, this weekend. Then, they escaped in a Tesla, which is not as cool as Spiderman’s ride, but is at least environmentally friendly.

They’ve been friends for decades now and even dated for 3 years. MaGuire made an appearance on Roseanne, on which Sara Gilbert was a regular cast member, in 1991. Later, Sara became friends with MaGuire’s wife, Jennifer Meyer, and it was an extended family affair.

Tobey MaGuire and Meyer have now divorced, but the Gilbert and MaGuire family bond seems as strong as ever. May MaGuire and Gilbert become geriatrics together, just like Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner did, after first meeting as lads on Sid Caesar’s Show of Shows.
